PipGauge · Trace every cost
Trade-cost CSV reconciliation
Map statement fields explicitly, preserve every record and check costs locally.
Local calculations · no financial-input uploads · no saved input data · no trade execution
File and pasted content remain in this tab’s memory. No upload or browser storage. Editing the data or delimiter requires reading the columns again. Fee signs and gross/net meaning must come from your exporter.
Calculation boundaries
Choose the P&L meaning explicitly. Gross mode adds mapped fee cashflows to P&L. Already-net mode keeps the P&L amount unchanged; mapped costs are not deducted twice. Positive-charge convention negates a fee; signed-cashflow convention keeps its sign. A missing fee mapping means unknown, not zero broker fees.
An optional reported-net column is compared using an exact absolute tolerance. Without it, the tool checks arithmetic only and does not call the statement reconciled. A mapped empty/non-numeric cell, wrong column count or another currency is a visible anomaly excluded from numeric totals. Valid rows that disagree with the reference stay in totals.
Identical rows and repeated IDs are flagged and retained. Multiple fills can share an ID. Totals include all valid duplicates; examine them manually. Every record and original cell remains accessible. Pagination only limits displayed rows. Numeric text uses a decimal point without currency symbols or grouping; formulas are never evaluated.
File size: 2 MiB; records: 5,000; columns: 64; cell length: 4,096 characters. Use UTF-8 and explicitly select comma, semicolon or tab. Broken CSV quoting stops parsing without erasing the input. This is not an accounting or tax filing service.
